The Old Mixed Tapes were born from humble beginnings during a bluegrass jam around a campfire at Old Rex Music Park in Henderson, Alabama. Though each member had traveled the same bluegrass circles for years, something special happened during that particular jam. The chemistry, harmonies, and shared love for traditional bluegrass music quickly became the foundation for what would grow into one of Alabama’s exciting traditional bluegrass acts.

Today, The Old Mixed Tapes deliver high-energy performances filled with tight instrumentation, strong vocals, and powerful harmonies. Rooted in the classic sounds of traditional bluegrass while bringing their own fresh edge to the stage, the band blends driving rhythms, heartfelt songs, and crowd favorites into every performance.

The band features Jarrad Dailey on guitar and vocals, Lance Pitts on mandolin and vocals, Mike Broadway on banjo and vocals, Damion Kidd on dobro, and Mike Smitherman on upright bass and vocals. Together, they bring years of experience, a passion for bluegrass music, and a commitment to delivering an authentic and entertaining live show.
